Dr. Bo Denysyk

Telecommunications, international market development, governmental relations, information technology, commercial aviation and trade policy are areas in which Dr. Denysyk has developed notable expertise. His breadth of experience, however, spans more than 45 years.
Dr. Denysyk advises clients on regulatory matters such as export licensing and related national security issues. He also represents clients in international trade negotiations involving WTO matters and trade agreements.
Dr. Denysyk is often called upon to assist clients with technology transfer concerns, which may range from regulatory and policy questions to investigating IP theft by competitors or foreign governments. He has assisted numerous US and foreign clients in developing technology protection programs and conducting investigations if problems were suspected.
Prior to joining Global in 1987, as an executive for the IBM Corporation, Dr. Denysyk was responsible for large integrated office and industrial networks representing $250 million in business for IBM and was in a management position with IBM before joining the Reagan Administration in 1981.
Dr. Denysyk served as Assistant Secretary for Export Administration of the Department of Commerce, where he administered US export laws governing products controlled for national security reasons, foreign policy nuclear, and short-supply (petroleum), those covered by the Anti-Arab Boycott of Israel regulations and monitoring the US industrial base for adequacy in meeting national emergencies and administering investigations of imports that could affect national security. He also served in the White House as an Assistant US National Security Advisor to President Reagan and in the 1970s worked with the US Navy and as an intelligence analyst at an intelligence agency.
Dr. Denysyk's extensive political experience includes serving as campaign manager for the 1984 and 1992 Presidential Campaigns for the State of Maryland, and as a regional director in the 1980 Reagan for President Campaign and later as a member of the Transition Team in both 1980 and 2000. Other senior positions held included National Director for Coalition Development for the Robert Dole for President Committee and as Coalition Development Advisor for the Bush for President 2000 Campaign.
Dr. Denysyk has been a member of the Defense Science Board, the Technical Advisory Committee, and various other private sector, along with the US and State of Maryland government advisory groups. Currently, he is a Board Member of Prokom Software, a publicly traded company. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics.
